Study
Fisetin is a senotherapeutic that extends health and lifespan
PRIMARY

Summary Can fisetin slow aging and help animals live longer? Show / hide ↓
Researchers tested fisetin, a plant compound, in aging mice and laboratory cells. They gave old mice occasional doses and compared them with untreated mice. Fisetin reduced signs of senescent cells, which are damaged cells that stop working normally and release harmful signals. The treated mice stayed healthier and lived about 36% longer on average. This study did not test people.
What this means for you: This does not show that fisetin supplements help humans live longer, and the effective mouse dose may not translate safely to people. Do not buy fisetin for longevity based on this study alone.
