Bryan Johnson posts a measured morning routine
NEW DAILY-PROTOCOL UPDATE: Johnson reports 39 bpm resting heart rate, 4 h 31 min restorative sleep, sleep age 30, breath work, light exposure and a 40-minute IHHT session; no control period is shown.
On 6 September 2026, Bryan Johnson posted a morning log. He says he woke at 5:00 am, fell asleep in 3 minutes, recorded a 39 bpm resting heart rate, obtained 4 hours 31 minutes of restorative sleep, had no wake events, and received a device-derived sleep age of 30, which he describes as 19 years younger. He also lists 5 minutes of breath work, a breakfast of protein, extra-virgin olive oil and berries, 30 minutes of light reaching his eyes while eating or working, and a 40-minute intermittent hypoxic-hyperoxic training session that included 5 minutes at an altitude equivalent of 19,000 feet. The post does not name the sleep device, define restorative sleep, report total sleep time, provide repeated nights, or show validation against polysomnography. It has no comparator or clinical endpoint. These numbers describe one morning under a multi-component routine. They do not establish that IHHT, light exposure, diet or breath work caused the measurements, and they do not prove a longevity effect. No ingredient grade change follows.
5 am wake > asleep in 3 min > 39 bpm resting heart rate > 4hr 31 min restorative sleep > no wake events > sleep age 30 (19 yr younger).
No relevant critic piece or new human trial in the window tested this combined routine. No ingredient grade change follows.
