Summary Do NAD supplements really slow aging or extend human life? Show / hide ↓

Researchers critically reviewed published evidence behind NAD+ supplements and sirtuins, proteins involved in cell processes. NAD+ is a molecule cells use to produce energy. They did not run a new experiment or study human volunteers. The review found that many promising results came from cells or mice, while strong evidence in people was limited. It also concluded that claims about longer life and broad health benefits were often stronger than the evidence supported.

What this means for you: This review does not show that NAD+ supplements extend human life or reliably slow aging. You can ignore marketing claims until larger, long-term human studies show meaningful benefits.
