Improving quercetin bioavailability: A systematic review and meta-analysis of human intervention studies
Summary Which forms of quercetin help more of it reach the bloodstream? Show / hide ↓
Researchers combined results from human studies testing ways to improve quercetin’s bioavailability, meaning how much reaches the bloodstream. People took quercetin in different forms, including specially designed supplement formulas and different food or ingredient combinations. Some approaches produced higher quercetin blood levels than ordinary quercetin supplements. The studies were generally small and varied, and higher blood levels do not necessarily mean better health or longer life.
What this means for you: Special formulations may help your body absorb more quercetin, but this review does not show that they improve health or longevity. Avoid paying a large premium unless future studies link these higher levels to meaningful benefits.
