Senolytics as Modulators of Critical Signaling Pathways

PRIMARY 2025
Summary Can senolytic drugs slow aging by changing key cell signals? Show / hide ↓

This paper reviewed how senolytics, drugs designed to remove damaged cells that have stopped dividing, might affect aging-related cell signals. It discussed findings from laboratory experiments and animal studies. These studies suggest senolytics may reduce some harmful signals released by these damaged cells. The paper did not provide strong evidence that these drugs extend human life or safely prevent disease.

What this means for you: This is not enough evidence to buy or take senolytic products. The findings are promising but mostly come from cells and animals, so they do not directly show benefits for people.
